They reached temple and gave the offerings to the priest.

Dharini's POV

He maa, aap to sab kuch janti hai mai kya chahti hoon hoon, mujhe kya chinta sata rahi hai, please meri sari chinta dur kar dijiye aur sab kuch acche se ho jaye iska ashirwad dijiye.

(Oh mother, you know everything what I want, what I'm worrying about, please make my worries go away and give your blessings so that wedding take place hassle free.)

We came back to the guest house. I'm feeling so special, nobody is letting me do any work even doing any simple tasks such as serving water too.  They are giving me special treatment such as bringing me water and food, which I'm not used too.

(At night)

Mumma and papa are staying in separate room than others as they have my jewellery and other expensive items so they keep it in their room and lock it when they are out. Papa is so busy these days with my father-in-law in wedding arrangements that I'm not even getting a chance to sit with him alone and talk for even five minutes. Right now he came back, had dinner and went to room, I don't think he will sleep so soon. I saw the door is slightly ajar and when I peeped inside, I saw mumma's head on papa's chest and they both are weeping silently. I feel lump in my throat. It feels heavy to see your father cry, without thinking twice, I barged inside.

Without saying anything, I joined them in their hug and then Papa's cries intensified.

"It feels like yesterday, you were born and wrapped my around you small fingers. I still remember one the bestest moment of my life was when you called me papa for the first time. (He chuckled between cries) your mumma was teaching you how to call mumma and first word came out of your mouth was papa.."

"She said papapa, not papa" mumma said while wiping her tears which replaced by new ones soon.

"...And today I realized that you have grown up. The girl who used to play ghar-ghar will take care of her own house now. I will miss you Rinu, I don't know how will I leave without you" papa said as sob left from his mouth while hugging me.

I couldn't contain my tears anymore..

"Papa I don't want to marry and leave you" I said between sobs.

"Pagal, hum dur thodi honge tujhse, jab dil kare aa jana, tera ghar tere pati ke sath hoga, tujhe uske sath rehna hai aur mujhe pata hai wo tujhe hamesha khush rakhenge aur kuch hua to tere papa ke ghar ke darwaze to khule hi hai tere liye hamesha" he said while patting my head.

(Silly, we will not be far from you, when ever you miss, come to us. Your house will be where your husband is, you have to live with him and I know he will keep you happy and if anything happens, always remember that the door of your father's house is always open for you)

"You both talk, I'm going out, baoji (father) called me to talk about something." Saying this, papa left, leave me and mumma alone.

"Silly girl, every woman has to live with her husband. See I came to live with your baba when I was also 18 year old and now we can't live without each other. We both love each other a lot and I'm sure, after marriage, you will like to live with Anav ji more than us."

I hugged her and chose not to reply.

"Rini, I didn't get the chance to talk to you about certain things but I think you should be aware of it."

I looked at her with confusion while wiping my tears.

"A husband and wife are two bodies one soul. After marriage, you will share your everything with your husband, be it your secrets or your body."

"What do you mean mumma?"

" Means, a good woman is the one who makes her man happy"

"Okay" I'm sure confusion is written all over my face.

"Never say no to your husband. There will be certain things happen between you which you are not aware of but don't say no to him for anything."

"Mumma you are so confusing" I'm annoyed now.

"Ok..(she took deep breath) if your husband wants to kiss you let him, he wants to touch you, let him. If he wants to see you without clothes..."

"Issssshhh..mumma what are you talking about? Why would I allow him? Chi"

"Because a husband and wife share their body, mind and soul. Don't stop him from touching you anywhere. Always obey him, it's not wrong. If he wants to touch your forbidden parts, don't refuse him. Every woman go through this." Mumma exhaled long breathe.

I'm horrified would be an understatement. Why Mishra sir wants to see me without clothes. Let alone seeing, why would he want to touch my private parts??

"Now go and sleep, don't take stress and sleep early. Tomorrow is Ganesh Pujan, you have to wake up early."

Kaise sou jaldi jab aapne meri neend hi uda di?

(How can I sleep mumma when you made me lose my sleep?)

Without saying anything I came back to my room and lied beside drishu.

How can mumma say something like that? Why would Mishra sir would want to touch me? I shuddered with the thought alone. If what Mumma said is true then do I have to let him touch me against my will?
I don't know how will I react if he wants to kiss me and about touching..chi chi chi..Dharini stop. He doesn't look like someone who will do such things. But mumma said every woman go through this...oh God, what am I getting myselfe into?

I tried my best to show a mother - daughter conversation about "that" as it was a taboo topic, still is, so I tried to portray how her mother is indirectly making her aware and educating about those things that she will experience after marriage.
